On a dim day
Maples blaze;
striking poses nearby-
a line of naked limbs,
vestures shed.
Their colors lay in disarray.
Starlings startle at my plodding,
and I thank God
for a walk in Autumn.

Lovely imagery! So thankful for His colorfully expressive creation around us! (It's just tragic that this beauty precedes the bleak death of winter...)
